Blackburn Bingo Player Wins Holiday of a Lifetime

How’s this for an uplifting Friday news story to get your weekend off to a great start?
Lucky Lynda Pritchard from Hoghton, near Blackburn has won a dream holiday for two after winning a national competition through her local club.

The 58 year old won the luxury cruise to the Mediterranean through Gala Bingo in Blackburn. Lynda’s sister, Ann Spellman, 59, will be joining her on the flight out to Palma in Majorca in October in order to board to ship.

Bingo players have been playing against each other all summer in hopes of scooping this exotic prize. Lynda was one of the lucky few to win!

She has been playing bingo at her local club for more than 10 years. At least three times a week she goes along with her whole family, so they can spend some quality time together.

Lynda says of her win: “It’s brilliant, absolutely brilliant.”

The sisters will be welcomed on board the ship with a champagne reception, before embarking on an all-inclusive, seven night cruise. They will be stopping at some of Europe’s top destinations, including Villefranche and Toulon in France, Livorno and Rapallo in Italy and Barcelona in Spain.

The ‘Thomson Dream’ ship will be their home for the week, which boasts superb luxury features. Lynda and Ann can sample food and drink on offer in the four restaurants and six bars, and go to relax in any of the three lounges after playing in the casino and taking in West End-style entertainment. If all that proves too much, they can treat themselves to a pamper session in the beauty salon!

The biggest perk for Lynda no doubt will be three dedicated Gala Bingo sessions, being held in a private room throughout the duration of the cruise. With her current lucky streak, who knows how much more she might win whilst on holiday!

Lynda is already preparing her sea legs for the voyage: “I must admit, I’m not a fan of cruising, because I’ve had some absolute disasters in the past, but I’ve been talked round, and I’m looking forward to it now.”

“I’m looking forward to just getting away and having a nice relaxing week.”

We congratulate you Lynda, and also wish you the best for what will be an amazing holiday!
