Charity Bingo Night Raises £1500 For Girl With Cerebral Palsy

A bingo night held at Chipping Norton Town Hall on Friday 9 June managed to raise £1500 for Alex Hutt, a five-year-old girl with cerebral palsy. The money will go towards treatment for Alex to help her walk unaided – the appeal aims to raise £70,000.
The bingo night was organised by Sue Bartholomew and Dawn Hunt, and offered prizes such as massages, afternoon teas, and tickets to the zoo.

“Without nights like this, we would really struggle to fund her treatment so we need this sort of funding as it is not paid for by the NHS,” said Calvin Hutt, father to Alex. The family lives in Shipton-under-Wychwood, and attended the bingo night along with dozens of players.

Overall, it seems that the charity bingo night was a great success.

“We’re so thankful to everyone who has helped us raise a record total with our fifth annual bingo night, which will help such a special little girl,” said Sue Bartholomew.
