Ann Broderick and Ruth Ellis are both survivors of breast cancer and have recently raised more than £800 from their latest bingo session.
This was to help new patients at Peterborough City Hospital.

Both women are from Crowland, Lincolnshire, and as a result of organising a fundraising event their regulars at Moulton Chapel Village Hall have so far raised £3,500.

They hope to have another £1,000 to present to the hospital’s breast care unit soon.

The latest donation was received by breast care nurse specialist Claire Ball.

Ann and Ruth have been clear from the disease for 5 years and decided to give something back to the unit where they had their treatment so that more equipment can be provided to help patients.

Ann said: “We went through the breast cancer treatment together, so it was nice to have a buddy.”

Everyone is welcome to their next fundraising bingo at Moulton Chapel Village Hall, which starts at 7pm on Wednesday November 26th.
