A charity bingo night held at Girvan Community Centre managed to raise over £500 for Macmillan Cancer Support on Friday 2nd June. The event was hosted by Nestlé, who have an office in the town, and so the event featured many prizes donated by the company, including a Nestlé Dolce Gusto coffee machine and Nestlé hampers.
The grand total raised was £528.70. The other prizes available included Marks and Spencer vouchers, wine and spirits.
Nestlé thanked everyone who was involved with the bingo fundraiser and who showed their support for the cause. Macmillan Cancer Support aims to improve the lives of everyone living with cancer in the UK – about 2.5 million people, with the number set to reach 4 million by 2030 as the lifespan of cancer patients increases. Macmillan are grateful for all the support they receive from fundraisers such as Girvan’s charity bingo night.
