It seems to be the season for world records getting broken at the moment!
Today we bring you a story of someone who didn’t intend to break any records – but most certainly has!

35 year old Shaban Binaku from North London has just won £100K in a bingo game at the Beacon Bingo hall in Cricklewood.

As a result, the car wash owner has broken a Guinness World Record for the biggest cash-prize ever playing a game of bingo at one single venue.

Mr Binaku says of his win: “I just cannot believe that I have won it, I still feel like I am dreaming. This money will change mine and my family’s life completely, and it couldn’t have come at a better time.

“I have family here in London and in Kosovo, Serbia, and it’s hard sometimes as they struggle for extra money. It’s nice to know that I can help and I can treat them at Christmas and in the New Year, they really deserve it.”

Shaban is obviously a naturally very lucky man, as this isn’t his first win at the bingo hall!

He has already won cash prizes of £10,000 and £5,000 at the Beacon Cricklewood – where he goes at least 3 times a week to play bingo with family and friends.

The manager of the club, Steve Lightfoot, added: “We’re absolutely delighted for Shaban, who not only has £100,000 in time for Christmas, but also has a Guinness World Record title to his name as well!”

We at WDW would like to congratulate Mr Binaku and his family on his massive win, and hope they enjoy a very merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
