There seems to be a lot of moving and shaking in the highest levels of the bingo world at the moment! The latest is that there’s a new managing director of Mecca Bingo.
Anna Shirley is currently head of customer experience at Sainsbury’s, but has left the company to become the new managing director of Mecca Bingo.
Shirley has been in her present role for the last 2 and a half years, but has been at Sainsbury’s for 13 years. Her other roles have included head of national advertising, head of own-brand marketing and head of local marketing.
She said: “I am delighted to be working with Mecca as marketing director. It’s a fantastic business and the company has great plans for its future. I’m looking forward to joining a great team.”
Shirley will be joining the Mecca team on 3rd August where her task is to take overall responsibility for the marketing of digital and retail.
Martin Pugh, managing director at Mecca Bingo, said her “wealth of retail marketing experience” will add momentum to business’ growth over the last year.
