Pensioner Attacks Teen Outside Gloucester Bingo Hall

A police investigation has been launched in Gloucester after a teenage girl was attacked by a pensioner, apparently drunkenly violent, outside the local bingo hall.Gloucester Police Logo

The 18 year old victim in question was reportedly walking down the street when she was grabbed by her ponytail and dragged into a side alley by the Mecca Bingo Club. She was then punched in the ribs three times and pushed to the ground. Lastly the offender, an elderly woman in her 60s, took a hair grip from the teenager’s hair and seemed to swallow it before walking off. Police speculate that the offender was mentally ill or disturbed in some way, besides being just drunk.

Making her way back to the main road, the highly distressed victim managed to ask a passer-by for help before leaving straight for the hospital. She was diagnosed with severe internal bruising along her rib cage as well as less serious external injuries.

Police are currently appealing for witnesses in search of the assailant, who has been described as wearing a knitted white bobble hat, a long multi-coloured skirt, black boots and a dark blue hoodie. She is about 5ft 6ins tall with waist-length, curly grey hair which was matted. Anyone who suspects they may know this individual is urged to come forward and call 101, quoting incident 367 of 17 June 2015.
