Dundee Luckiest Place for Bingo

It has been revealed that the luckiest town for bingo players in Britain is…… Dundee!

The National Bingo Game organisers say that those in the Scottish city won more than £200,000 in the last year, after calling “house” 21 times.

Another Scottish city, Glasgow, had more wins, but they were shared across 3 clubs – Dundee’s were all from the same club, Mecca Bingo in Nethergate.

Yet another Scottish city featured in the top 10 – Stirling, which boasted 13 wins.

The total won by Dundee players was £205,833,33 – with one lucky winner bagging a huge £25,000.

Last year’s top town was Blackpool – dropping to 5th this year after getting just 16 wins.

After Dundee in the top 10 was Stockon-on-Tees. Here 21 winners took home a total of £173,306,46.

Other cities making the list were Bolton, Oldbury, Leicester, Manchester and Birmingham.

NGBA chief executive Miles Baron said: “We are delighted to announce this year’s lucky town results, which showcase where £13,264,412 in prize money has been won in the last 12 months. There are some real surprises with last year’s winners moving up and down the rankings.

“For many winners, their prizes have been life changing. Stories from our winners have ranged from buying houses and going on their first family holiday, to starting a new career and retiring. Many donated a proportion of their winnings to worthy causes too.

The National Bingo Game offers a headline prize that is won on every game played – as well as a jackpot prize which is won every 2 or 3 weeks. The jackpot amount is dependent on how recently it has been won, and is known for paying out more than £250,000 on a regular basis.

So we all know where to head if we want to be lucky big bingo winners then – Dundee wouldn’t know what hit it!
