How To Make the Most of our Roulette Tool

Once again we’ve tasked our team to come up with a “best on the market” innovation, as we did with the Online Bingo Caller. They’ve never let us down!

It is a fairly simple tool, but because we know our audience is smart and sophisticated, we’ve built in all sorts of scenarios and contingencies. What type of roulette are you playing? Do you want to know about your next move or the potential payback or loss after an hour’s play?

This section will go blow by blow, so you can get the absolute most out of this brilliant app.

First: What are the game variations to choose from?

We have the three main types of roulette represented, each more of a rip off than the last! (Tip: if you have the chance to play European Roulette, take it!) The options are:

European Roulette: With only one zero, this version of the game offers the best odds with the lowest house edge. It may seem marginal… (“oh, there’s only one more number), pop it into the calculator and see!
American Roulette (aka Double Zero Roulette): If you’re sitting at a roulette table, physically or virtually, and you see that green double zero on the wheel, know that you’re just another sucker in America’s capitalism in overdrive. A glamorous spot you may be in, but the House is laughing all the way to the bank. Unfortunately, this version is spreading to other parts of the world, for obvious reasons.
Triple Zero Roulette: The managers and strategists at Las Vegas’ most prestigious casinos got together in a smoke filled backroom, the sort of scene you’d imagine in a Mob movie, with the goal of making Roulette even more profitable for them. “We’ve already got two zeros, let’s tack on a third!” This recent phenomenon is already rampant in Las Vegas, apparently replacing double zero tables at quite a clip. The house edge is an absolutely diabolical 7.69%. Even though the obvious advice is to avoid, avoid, avoid… we want you to be well prepared should you end up at such a table.

Second: Set Your Bets

Drag and drop your chips to see what your potential returns and losses could be. There are two main types of bets; Inside and Outside. We drill down on them here for you!

Inside Bets

Straight – Single number bets (eg. 23).
Split – Bet on two numbers at the same time which are adjacent.
Street – Bet on three consecutive numbers in a horizontal line via the outer edge.
Corner – Bet on four numbers in a square.

There are also various combinations that involve the zeros!

Outside Bets

Red or Black – Fairly self explanatory!
Low or High (Manque or Passe) – 1-18 or 19-36.
Even or Odd (Pair or Impair)
Column Bet – Get the horizontal dozen by placing your chip in the 2 to 1 space.
Dozen Bet – Choose the first, second or third dozen.

Third: Choose your Gaming Approach

Single Bet – For the simple Simons out there, just get a taste of what the potential outcomes of one bet would be.
Simulation – News flash, we’re living in one! (Perhaps…) Otherwise in this option, the calculator will simulate a roulette wheel spin, and you’ll see whether you’ve won or lost!
Live In-person Dealer – Our statisticians reckon you’d be placing around 30 bets an hour at a bricks and mortar casino. Choose your time period to estimate where you might end up after any given time.
Online with Dealer – This is doing the same sort of work, but the boffins predict you can bet around 110 times per hour when playing at an online live casino.
Online without a Dealer – These estimates are based on 220 bets an hour (aka, a lot). We certainly wouldn’t recommend this approach. Plus, having a dealer (whether present or virtual) is all part of the classic casino fun!
Target & Stop Loss – If you really want to dig in, then you can choose your starting bankroll, target bankroll and loss limit to see how a game might play out statistically. This might be for the aforementioned maths nerds…
