Playtech Signs 5 Year Bingo Deal with Rank Group
Playtech, one of the world’s leaders in iGaming technology, have announced a 5 year renewal of their relationship with the Rank Group to continue providing exclusive bingo services.
The company has provided the bingo platform of Rank’s flagship brand, Mecca Bingo, for some time. The deal extension means that Playtech software will now be rolled out on two new Rank bingo brands, Lucky Pants Bingo and Kitty Bingo.
Both these brands used to run on Daub Alderney software. Since being absorbed into the Rank fold, Lucky Pants Bingo has already transitioned to the Playtech product. Kitty Bingo is expected to follow imminently, though no date has been set.
Playtech first made strides in the online bingo market with their acquisition of Virtue Fusion in 2010. Since then the Virtue Fusion bingo platform, infused with Playtech technology, has gained a reputation as the best and most attractive bingo software out there. Though there are limited number of brands using the platform, they tend to be high visibility brands with excellent and widespread reputations. These include bet365, Buzz Bingo, Betfred Bingo and William Hill.
As well as the Virtue Fusion bingo platform, the deal extension also includes games content that Playtech will provide to the Rank Group’s brands.
The closeness and exclusivity of the deal between the two industry giants means that they will also be able to create unique content, only available on Rank brands. Angus Nisbet, the Director of Digital Bingo, stated:
“With bespoke content development at the heart of the agreement, we can continue bringing fresh, innovative content to Mecca Bingo players, as well as introducing new and classic content to a whole new audience through the Lucky Pants and Kitty Bingo brands.”
Rank emphasised in the official press release that, for them, there was really no other choice.
“Playtech has a track record like no other supplier, both as a technology provider and content developer, making them a clear choice as our exclusive long-term bingo provider.”
