The Winner
So what of the lucky man himself?
He has chosen to remain anonymous and you can completely understand that choice. The man would probably not know another moment’s rest from curious colleagues and hinting and winking acquaintances.
Having said that, the press release does reveal some clues. First, we know he’s 58. Second, as Fred Done gave away, we know he’s a massive Manchester United fan. Given current trends, that probably narrows down potential suspects by quite a long way…
He’s also no stranger to a flutter. He said of the win:
“I’ve been a horse racing punter my whole life and hit the cross bar a few times with some of my accas but obviously never hit the jackpot like this.
