First Luda Bingo Cafe opens in Walsall
The Rank Group, owners of Mecca Bingo, have finally opened their first ever Luda Bingo site – a new high street experience designed to bring something fresh to bingo.
The company says it has “reimagined” the bingo experience to “create the next generation in gaming.”
With the goal of enticing younger players and update bingo’s old-fashioned image, the new bingo cafe is located on Park Street and has created 25 new jobs. It offers bingo, slots and retro games, and also serves hot and cold drinks – including alcohol – alongside snacks and treats like paninis, sandwiches, and cakes.
The initial lease of the building – according to WhichBingo – cost £12 million, with refurbishment approximately £900,000. The site includes a bingo room, a cafe, and a room with jackpot machines, known as the ‘Electric Lounge’.
Alan Morgan, managing director of Luda, said: “We’re thrilled to be opening our first ever Luda in Walsall. The new venue offers a convenient place to pop in and play, and is perfect for groups of friends on a night out looking for a fun time or those seeking to take time out to recharge their batteries. The new club will offer those living locally a sociable place to meet, play, try new games, have a bite to eat and relax.”
Councillor Paul Bott, deputy mayor of Walsall, added: “It’s refreshing to welcome something new, exciting and different to try. It’s also great to see that Luda has committed to creating jobs for local residents.”
Luda Bingo Walsall is open from 7am-11pm Monday – Saturday, and 9am-11pm on Sundays.
