Improving our Brand Reviews
To improve the experience of using WDW Bingo for our users, we’ve made some upgrades to both our brand reviews and listings.
In order to pump the most useful information right into players’ eyeballs, we’ve implemented some design changes and added some new features. We hope this will give you improved data and analysis even faster!
In recent years, we’ve learned a lot from you in terms of what you’re seeking from a slots or bingo site. We also know that you have busy lives and sometimes just need the most useful bits of information displayed in simple terms for the quickest possible digestion.
So these are the following upgrades we’ve made and why we’ve done it (simple answer: for you the user!)
Changes to Listings Card on our Comparison Pages
In our listing cards, we’ve always wanted to mainline the most important info. This has focused on the brand name and logo, the welcome offer, a snippet blurb, the UKGC mandated significant Terms, a “Play” button and a “Read Review” button.
We think the focus on the welcome offer might be a slight hangover from a time when the welcome offer was King. In a changing ecosystem, especially since the bonus and wagering changes of January 2026, we believe it’s less important.
It is still there of course – it’s not going away! Especially when you have a bold new release like Bet St George, which has a notably generous welcome offer.
However, we’ve added three new elements that we think respond to what players are looking for:
- Inclusion of the UK Gambling Commission Licence Name – Players are increasingly interested in independent and unique licences especially when in comes to deposit and KYC reasons. We want to highlight that for players upfront. Likewise, if the licence name indicates a larger network of sites or White label operator, those have a place for players too. In fact, sometimes those type of sites might be better for players! We go into more detail about this in our Disadvantages of Independent Slot sites section here.
- The Review Star Rating, as formulated in the How we Review criteria by our experts. We believe players want transparency and assurance of quality. Our brand review ratings are never bought; they are earned and verified by our experts who peruse and test the sites. Coming soon, we’ll be adding a further feature that allows players to leave their own ratings on the review. This average User rating will supplement the expert rating to create a holistic mega rating that we hope will act as gospel for our players!
- Harrison’s Note & Downside, which provides expert personal analysis on why a player might want to join, but also a word of caution about what to look out for and what might not quite be right for a player. Again, transparency and assurance of quality are key!
Updates to Review Information
We’ve added some important new information to our review pages, which also reflects an update in our “How we Review” methodology too.
- Fact Checked By feature means that every review is double-checked for accuracy and quality by another expert. If I’m writing a review, I’ll hit up an appropriate writer to have a look over it for me. For example, if the site has sports betting, I’m likely to ask Darren, our resident sportsbook expert, to have a look. Any review that I haven’t written, I will “Fact Check.”
- Review Updated – We’ve decided to privilege this information up top so you know fast how recently we’ve updated our review to account for new information. If a review has been untouched for months, it’s an indication that not a lot of import is going on at that brand!
- Products – Again, this is a useful feature designed to show the player quickly whether this is a brand they can do business with. If a site doesn’t have the product they’re looking for, then they can immediately disregard – simple!
- Pros & Cons – As lay out in our How We Review document, we want to get our distilled and honest brand judgement to you as simply as possible. Hence our new Pros & Cons feature that we’re rolling out to every review.
So there you have it. These are our user-focused improvements that we’re currently working on. I’d like to thank my glamorous assistant, Bet St George, the brand-new casino site that has helped me demonstrate these changes.
