About Costa Games
Costa Games is one of those sites that felt familiar to me the moment I landed on it. It’s owned by Broadway Gaming, which runs many different brands, including Dotty Bingo and Wink Slots.
Costa Games itself opened its doors in 2014 while its sister site Costa Bingo has been around since 2009 and that heritage alone gives it a fair bit of credibility. Costa Games is what we would call a Dragonfish slots site, as it’s powered by that platform historically, but doesn’t have any bingo.
The overall look isn’t especially flashy. In fact, the site looks a bit dated compared to some of the newer Broadway brands. But once you get into the games and features, there’s still plenty going on.
How Costa Games Earned Its Rating
- Offer Quality: The Coins reward system is a solid USP, with player-specific promos and a lower-than-average 30x wagering requirement.
- Payment Methods: Limited to debit cards and PayPal, which covers the basics but doesn’t offer much variety.
- Game Choice: A decent slot library from Pragmatic, Eyecon, Games Global and Inspired, though it lacks newer studios like Hacksaw or Nolimit City.
- Navigation: Lobby is split into clear categories, though some feel repetitive, and there are no advanced filters in the full list view.
Casino Design & Theme
To me, the name “Costa” brings to mind sunshine and holidays, but the site doesn’t really lean into that imagery. The theming is pretty minimal, with a design that honestly feels like it belongs to an earlier era of online casinos.
That said, the lobby at least tries to organise things in a way that makes sense. You’ll find:
- Top Picks for You
- Top 10 in the UK
- New Releases
- A-List
- Jackpot Slots
- Scorching Slots
Still, some of these categories feel like duplicates. “A-List” and “Scorching Slots”, for example, don’t feel distinct enough. The most useful section by far is Top 10 in the UK, which I found actually reflects what seems to be popular among players.
The New Releases section is decent, but when I checked it hadn’t been updated for over a week — which is noticeable when developers like Games Global and Pragmatic are dropping multiple titles every few days.
Then, when you click on Complete List, you get exactly that — a wall of game tiles with no filters. No way to browse by theme, features, or even by studio. Compared to more modern lobbies with search tags and favourites, this feels pretty barebones.
Promotions & Bonuses
Promotions at Costa Games aren’t front-and-centre like you’d find on most other sites. In fact, the promo page itself is a bit sparse. Instead, you’ll find that offers tend to come through email or your on-site inbox. During my time playing here, I didn’t actually get any personalised promos, but other players do report these are common.
The main standout I found here is the Coins System. Here’s how it works:
- Every £10 you wager on slot games earns you 1 Coin.
- Coins can be redeemed in the Shop for free spins, bonus cash, or other small rewards.
- Free spins are available on popular Games Global and Eyecon slots like 12 Pots of Gold and Fluffy Favourites.
- Bonus vouchers range from £1–£10 and can be used on any game.
- Coins are shared across all Broadway sites linked to your email address, which is handy if you play on multiple brands.
It’s a straightforward system and it actually does add a bit of value if you’re a regular player. The shop setup gives you a sense of choice, too, since you can choose whether you want spins on a specific slot or a simple cash bonus.
Another big plus here is the wagering requirements. At 30x, they’re much, much lower than many other casinos. Compare that to Jumpman Gaming or Skill on Net sites, where 60x is still fairly common, and Costa Games looks generous.
Game Selection
I thought the slot selection at Costa Games was respectable but not spectacular. On the plus side, you get big names like:
- Pragmatic Play (with the Big Bass series and Drops & Wins titles)
- Eyecon (famous for Fluffy Favourites and other UK staples)
- Games Global (legacy Microgaming hits like Immortal Romance)
- Inspired Gaming (covering some more old-school titles)
But, the gap here is in the newer, quirkier providers. There’s no Hacksaw, Nolimit City, or Relax Gaming so you miss out on some of the innovative mechanics and edgier themes those studios bring. As it stands, the most modern things I saw there were Megaways slots and Slingo games.
The jackpot slots section is there, but it’s dominated by Eyecon titles. Given that Blueprint is also on the site, it’s surprising there’s no Jackpot King content. Another drawback is the lack of visible jackpot counters so you have to click into each game to see what the current prize is, which feels outdated compared to sites that display them right in the lobby.
So, while there’s plenty to spin on if you like the classics, players looking for cutting-edge slots might find it a bit limited.
Deposits & Withdrawals
This is one of the weaker areas. Deposits are limited to debit cards and PayPal. While those are the two most common methods UK players use, it would be nice to see Apple Pay, Trustly, or Neteller included for a little variety.
- Minimum deposit: £10
- Minimum withdrawal: £10
Withdrawal time: Not listed on-site, but player reports suggest a two-day processing period before funds are released.
Two days isn’t terrible, but compared to newer casinos offering same-day or instant withdrawals, it does feel slow.
Trust, Support & Security
Broadway’s track record in the UK market is a big part of Costa Games’ trust factor. With over a decade of experience and dozens of brands in their portfolio, they’re not going anywhere.
Support is available through live chat and email. Live chat connected me within a couple of minutes, and emails usually got a reply in about an hour. Nothing really to shout about here, but it works and is reliable.
Final Thoughts
Costa Games is reliable and straightforward – it’s not the flashiest casino, and the game library could do with more variety from modern studios. The lobby layout is also a bit clunky once you move past the curated categories.
But there are definitely positives that make it worth considering. The Coins System is a fun loyalty feature that gives you tangible rewards for playing, and the 30x wagering is a big plus in today’s market. Add to that the Broadway Gaming pedigree and you’ve got a site that, while not revolutionary, does enough to keep regular slot fans happy.
My advice would be just to use the Top 10 UK section as your starting point, lean on the Coins rewards for extra spins or cash, and don’t expect lightning-fast withdrawals. Costa Games isn’t groundbreaking, but it’s steady and dependable – and you get that extra bit of value through its loyalty system.
