Who is Rich Wilde from Book of Dead? The History
Rich Wilde is the fictional protagonist of the Book of Dead slot and is even one of the symbols. He is an Indiana Jones type explorer and adventurer discovering the mysteries and treasures of Ancient Egypt. He has a knife slung over his belt and is wearing combat-light safari wear. He is an all-masculine figure in the “Men want to be him, Women want to be with him” Hollywood mould.
It is fair to say that Play’n Go can’t take all the credit for coming up with the theme. Back in 2005, slot game giants Novomatic launched their slot “Book of Ra” and then subsequently released the updated “Book of Ra Deluxe.” This slot pioneered the hat wearing adventurer and ancient Egypt theme, with many symbols that look strikingly similar. However Book of Dead is a much more modern and vibrant take on the theme, so at least it is an improvement.

Book of Dead is an exciting, luscious looking video slot set in Egypt. The game’s success however lies not in the uniqueness of the theme or the quality of the graphics, rather the simplicity and gameplay of the slot itself.
Book of Dead is a 5 reel, 3 row slot with 10 variable paylines and just 10 symbols, as mentioned above. It is not an overly complex and expansive game and players like how easy it is to play.
