Midlands Postwoman Wins £140,000 Jackpot
Last month we vowed to keep bringing you monthly good news stories from online bingo and slots winners, starting with Haley at Health Games. This January, it’s a postwoman from Rugby who’s bringing all the good vibes.
A Royal Mail employee from Rugby in Warwickshire has won £142,242 while playing on Mecca Bingo, incredibly with just a 75p stake.
The amazing jackpot recipient did not want to reveal her identity, other than her bingo username “Key121212.” However, we have learned a few things about her. She’s 36 years old, works as a mailwoman in the Midlands, has four children and used to regularly travel to Northampton before lockdown to play at the bricks and mortar Mecca Bingo hall there.
The lucky winner and key worker has said that the win has reduced her anxiety in what has been a very difficult time for many in a similar position to her. Her laundry list of things she will spend the life-changing money on is extremely sensible and down to earth. She’s said the money will go towards:
- A Trip to Disneyland with the family after Lockdown (although she does have a fear of flying so she is weighing up her options – we say take the Eurostar!)
- Buy a new house and not need to worry about applying for a mortgage for her current council house
- Get a new seven seater car to replace her clunker that keeps breaking down
- New computer and video games for her kids
