Carers are our unsung heroes and CarersUK wants to shine a light on these everyday legends. They have teamed up with Coral Bingo to raise awareness for this massive silent population, and raise funds as well.

Tickets cost on 20p and there is a nifty little prize pool of £10. All proceeds from this room go to Carers UK, to assist in their important work for the nation’s carer population.

Who are Carers UK?
Carers UK is a charity organisation that has existed for over 50 years. It acts as an advocacy and support group for the Carers of Britain. There are over 6.5 million carers in this country, including many who care for family and friends in an unpaid capacity. That’s around 1 in 8 adults. In our lifetime, Carers UK expects this number to rise to 9 million.
Everyday, another 6,000 ordinary people will become carers. They may find this daunting and have no idea how to deal with becoming another person’s carer. This is where Carers UK comes in.
They can offer help and advice as well as advocacy. It is the only group of its type in the UK, where carers can become members and have their voices heard. For more information, visit the Carers UK website.
