PlayOJO to be Headline Sponsor of Dancing on Ice
Industry gamechangers, and one of our favourite ever brands, PlayOJO, have inked a spanking new deal to be the official headline sponsors of returning ITV reality show, Dancing on Ice. If any brand deserves some primetime exposure, it’s these no wagering legends.
On the 12th January, ITV’s flagship figure skating reality show Dancing on Ice returned to our screens for a 17th season. Launched in 2006, the show has been an annual staple, at times reaching almost 15 million viewers an episode. Though not the ratings winner it once was, the show has managed to negotiate the shifting television landscape, and our changing viewing habits.
Hosted by Stephen Mulhern and national treasure Holly Willoughby, previous winners have included Olympic gymnast Beth Tweddle and England Rugby player, Kyran Bracken.
In a star-studded line-up for 2025, this year’s major celebrity signing is rowing hero Sir Steve Redgrave. In addition, there is a smattering of the sort of Soap and Reality stars that you would expect to see in such a roster. These include Ferne McCann from The Only Way is Essex, Charlie Brooks from EastEnders and Sam Aston from Coronation Street.
The celebrity contestants aren’t the only star signings of the new season. They have bagged the best online gambling brand out there to be their headline sponsor. We are, of course, referring to our friends at PlayOJO.
The deal includes 120 seconds of “on-air brand accreditation via sponsorship idents” per episode, as well as more visibility on ITV’s streaming platform ITVX.
