About Glossy Bingo
Glossy Bingo has been around since February 2013 (an eternity in the online bingo space) and was the second brand to be released by Broadway Gaming.
Today, it’s one of eight sites operating under the Broadway banner, along with Butler’s Bingo, Bingo Diamond and Rosy Bingo. Like its counterparts, you’ll find hundreds of casino games and slots, as well as a dozen or so bingo rooms powered by Pragmatic Play.
Licensed by the UK Gambling Commission, Glossy Bingo is therefore a pretty well-established operator. So how does it stack up against other bingo brands? Join us now as well take a closer look!
Design & Theme
Despite the brand name, you won’t find much glitz or glamour at Glossy Bingo in terms of design or decoration. Although the landing page is pretty swanky, you’ll soon see that the website is most definitely a ‘no frills’ kind of platform, once you’ve logged in.
On larger screens, the obligatory promo header spans the screen. Underneath are horizontally scrollable bingo rooms which sit atop the slot games.
Both the bingo and casino games are played within a game browser which includes its own search function, along with recommended games. Although this is not going to be to everybody’s liking, it provides a seamless (if a bit limited) method of navigation.
At the top of the screen is a pop-out menu that allows you to browse the bingo and slots categories as well as the promotions and reward sections.
Promotions
Along with a competitive welcome bonus aimed at bingo and slot gamers, Glossy Bingo showcases a great collection of perks to keep things interesting once registered. Unsurprisingly the promo suite is dominated by bingo but bonus spin deals are also included.
Supporting a crowded promotional calendar is a tiered rewards package. To ascend the five levels, you’ll need to do things like deposit money and wager on bingo or slots. As you progress, you’ll unlock various perks and prizes along the way.
Games Highlights
There are about a dozen bingo rooms that play host to four bingo games including 30-ball, 75-ball and 90-ball variants.
As mentioned, these are powered by Pragmatic Play and include player favourites such as Diamond Dazzle and Boombox. During our visits, the rooms were quite busy, especially the jackpot room which was regularly hosting more than 60 players.
Sadly, there’s no free bingo to speak of – the closest alternative is the penny bingo room. And it’s the same for newbie rooms as well.
As far as slots go, you’ve got more than 300 to be getting on with – not too bad for a site that’s all about bingo first and foremost. Powered by developers like Eyecon and Pragmatic Play, the lobby is populated by plenty of fun titles such as Fluffy Favourites and Noble Sky.
A small collection of scratchies are also available on site, if you’re looking to pass time between bingo playing sessions.
Mobile Usability/Tech
The look and feel of the desktop site is retained on mobile and tablet devices. While there’s no app to speak of, the website operates well, as does the dedicated game browser.
Deposits/Withdrawals
A minimum £10 deposit is required with payments processed instantly. The following methods are available.
- Maestro
- Mastercard Debit
- PayPal
- Paysafecard
- Skrill
- VISA Debit
All of the above methods can be used to withdraw as well. Like deposits, a minimum of £10 is required – anything less and a £2 administration fee will be slapped on. Processing times for withdrawals stand at around 24 hours.
ID Verification
Glossy Bingo chooses to enforce its age and ID verification checks at the point of withdrawal. To satisfy these checks, the following documents can be sent via email or via live chat:
- Proof of ID (One of the following): Valid Passport, Driving Licence, EEA National Card
- Proof of Address (One of the following): Council Tax Bill, Utility Bill, Official Government Correspondence
- Electronic copies (PDFs) as well as high-quality photos or scans are also accepted.
Trustworthiness
Glossy Bingo has been in the game for quite some time now, so it’s a firmly established and trusted brand. That it’s owned by Broadway Gaming group and licensed by the UK Gambling Commission should offer more reassurances about its reputability.
Insolvency Protection
Medium insolvency protection is in place to protect your funds, should the company fall on hard times and be put into administration or liquidation. What this basically means is that all customer funds are kept in an account that’s separate from Glossy Bingo’s.
What the Players Say
There have been plenty of positive comments about the customer support levels on Trust Pilot. High ratings have been awarded for the efficiency and helpfulness of Glossy Bingo staff.
Final Thoughts
As one of the earliest Broadway Gaming brands, Glossy Bingo has certainly got plenty of mileage under its belt. In spite of this, the paint hasn’t started to peel off yet. It’s still a prominent and trusted online bingo site that’s helped by the inclusion of the Pragmatic Play bingo platform and a decent (but not endless) array of slots.
We were also pleased to note that the website doesn’t share the same look and feel of the other Broadway brands. While there are hints of an association such as with the navigation, Glossy Bingo looks fairly distinctive when it comes to appearances. Promotions and incentives are above par too, although we could have done with a few more aimed at slot players. Still, there’s not really much else to take issue with here. A four star bingo site, in our book!
