888 Bingo Sites Back After Broadway Acquisition
Dragonfish Bingo Sites which were directly under 888’s operation have finally started to reappear on WDW Bingo after a brief logistical hiatus, relating to Broadway Gaming’s purchase of 888’s bingo arm.
In July 2022, Broadway Gaming finalised the $45.25 million acquisition of 888’s bingo arm, known as “Dragonfish” after the bingo software platform.
The transition for the majority of these Dragonfish sites has been smooth as Broadway and 888 agreed a 12 month collaborative, troubleshooting period. Those sites that are owned and operated by other companies like Tau Gaming or Rank (United Gaming), have continue to list on WDW with little change to players’ lives.
Dragonfish sites that were run by 888, including legendary bingo sites like 888 Ladies as well as former Ignite sites like Costa Bingo, had to be absorbed into Broadway’s infrastructure. This meant over 45 listings disappeared from WDW Bingo in the blink of an eye in late Summer.
Broadway Gaming are experienced purveyors of bingo. Originating with Butlers Bingo, they now operate various popular brands like Rosy Bingo, Glossy Bingo and Bingo Diamond which used to run on Microgaming software.
Now that Broadway have integrated former 888 run Dragonfish Bingo sites into their systems, WDW is pleased to start promoting many of these beloved sites once again. The following sites are now being listed on all relevant pages once again.

The sale of 888’s bingo operation to Broadway was the largest shake up of the industry in quite some time. Seeing potential growth areas in the North American market as well as in betting and casino in general, 888 wanted to move out of the online bingo model it had done some much to pioneer. This expansion, including the taking over of William Hill’s European betting shops, moves 888 squarely into new territory.
On the flip side, Broadway Gaming is now the de facto “King of Bingo” having absorbed all Dragonfish brands and its dedicated, independent team. With already strong bingo revenues in the past couple of years, and a deal which means that Broadway take on none of 888’s bingo debt, the company is in a strong position to grow and to truly make its mark as the world’s premier bingo operator.
David Butler, the CEO of Broadway Gaming and the original brand’s namesake, said he was delighted with the acquisition and that the company was “very excited about our plans for the future.”
