How do you play Stock Market Live?
The premise is delightfully simple. Before the stock market opens and play commences, you can make a bet and those funds will be added to your portfolio. The main phase of the game is called the “Trading Session” when the stock market opens.
Just before it opens, you will bet on either “Up” or “Down” depending on whether you believe the stock will rise or fall during the duration of the session. Once the session starts, a line will move across the on-screen graph from left to right. Depending on how the stock market is performing in a session, it will rise and fall, giving percentage differences to what the stock was at the start.
You cannot cash out during the Trading Session. The success of your “Up” or “Down” bet depends on where the stock price is at the end. If you correctly bet on “Up” and the stock price ends up 75% higher than the start of the session, you’ll win a value of 75% of your bet, which will be added to your portfolio. Likewise if you correctly bet “Down” and the price is 40% lower, you’ll win a value 40% of your bet. If you bet wrong, you will lose that percentage value.
In between each session during the betting phase, you can either keep your bet the same, swap your bet, top up and add more chips, or Cash out your portfolio. The house takes a 1% commission fee when you cash-out.
