WDW Bingo’s Logo Gets a Makeover
For the first time since 2018, we’ve redesigned our logo. Here’s the story! Let us know what you think in the comments below.
Why Now?
You might have noticed something a little different at the top of the page. A new logo!
2020 has not quite been the springboard that we may have hoped for. However, there is still plenty to strive for in the future and lots of work to be done. What better way to signal this than through a neat rebrand that sees us squarely looking to the future.
We had consultations within our business and reached out to our loyal players to see what they thought we needed to change to remain fresh and appealing. One of the most striking through-lines was that our logo was a little a clunky, outdated, unwelcoming and most of all, not getting the point or the flavour of our website across.
The History
We underwent a complete re-launch and redesign of WDW back in 2018, again after a consultation with users. WDW’s logo design has frequently oscillated between fun loving and more modern designs depending on where we felt the industry was moving. Now is the time to bring these strands together and create a logo that gives the best indication of our personality.
In the old days, the logo very much centred around the WDW Bingo brand. However, over the past few years we tried to mature and expand with the logo incorporating the full bingo phraseology of “Well Done Winners.” WDW is of course a chat abbreviation of that phrase used after the completion of a game.
What look are we going for now?
It became clear in-house, and when asking players, that “WDW” much more effectively conveyed the spirit of bingo and it communicates better what we’re trying to do – find bingo players the best and most exciting bingo sites to play.
The new logo is cleaner, more modern, but also playful and less dumpy. Throughout the rest of 2020 and into next year, we’ll be making lots of improvements to WDW and we’ll be chatting to our users along the way to make sure they’re getting what they want.
Changes to look out for include the colour scheme, new layouts on our category pages as well as more visual information like videos and infographics. Stay tuned – it’s going to be an exciting end of the year at WDW Bingo.
