About Lux Casino
As Brits know all too well, sometimes when it rains, it pours. The team behind Happy Tiger have been violently expanding their roster of online casinos, which now includes their most luxurious brand yet, Lux Casino.
Happy Tiger arrived on the scene a few years back as a real breath of fresh air. They made all their own games, and even ran a couple of their own bingo rooms (Sidenote: as they keep launching new sites, we expect to see the turnout and liquidity in those games get sky high…)
Then Spin King came online, building the games catalogue beyond just their own in-house development, and they started to appeal to a more classic slot game audience. Happy Tiger, frankly, you wouldn’t even know was a casino until you visited it!
Lux Casino is the logical next step; a fully luxuriant casino product which treats players like they are proper old school Very Important People!
In terms of content, there’s not a lot that separates Lux Casino from its forbears. However, it is a new independent casino with a big and fair welcome bonus. If you already have an account on a Happy Tiger site, Lux Casino may not be the best first choice for your next destination. We may try to point you to something more like Proper Bet.
If you haven’t taken a Happy Tiger bonus up until this point, then I’d wholeheartedly recommend Lux Casino, for reasons that will become clear…
How we Rated this Brand
- Offer Quality – 4/5 – The welcome bonus is a big, generous match that you can deploy on either slots or bingo! The wagering requirements are ever so slightly different, depending on what you choose! I do like that both deposit and bonus can be used to meet the 10x wagering, rather than having to run through one before the other. As I alluded to, the major downside is that if you’ve already taken a Happy Tiger welcome bonus, you cannot take it again. It is one per licence. This is a hard and fast rule and does mean we’ve had to dock a point!
- Game Choice – 4.5/5 – The games catalogue is greatly expanded from when the platform first started. Not only are there lots of slots, there’s a great live casino too as well the two in-house bingo rooms.
- Payment Methods – 4/5 – To claim the welcome bonus, debit card is your only real deposit option. Subsequently, though, the site is compatible with PayPal transactions going forward and I know that will be popular with players.
- Navigation – 4/5 – The design is elaborate, if quite obviously AI generated, especially the slightly peculiar video of the Gold Prospector and his pet vulture (yes, you read that right…) Otherwise, the casino is very nicely laid out with games divided into innovative and useful categories. There’s also a very good search bar which turns up good results.
- Customer Support – 4.5/5 – There’s a freephone number if you like the assurance of hearing the voice of a real human being. The operating hours aren’t bad, but do be especially careful on the weekends when the hours may be shorter, or even closed on some days.
Bonus & Promotions
I’ve documented quite clearly the issue with the welcome bonus, which in and of itself is pretty great, with quite favourable terms. It is also versatile and can be used across slot games and bingo. But you are just not eligible if you’ve taken the welcome bonus before at either Happy Tiger, Spin King or Crush It, the newest brand. I’ve spoken to a few people who have tried to register and found this out the hard way. I’m sorry it’s frustrating, but all I can do is get the word out there about this specific term!
Games & Bingo Available
One aspect I really like in the main slots lobby is the promotion of winners, how much they’ve won and on what games. It’s uplifting to hear the good news stories! If you go to the “Most Recent Winners” tab, you can even see the success stories pop-up in real time. Of course, as I explained in the safer gambling section, you should never chase losses or believe gambling to be a way to make money.
The casino lobby is ultra-luxurious and you can find sections such as:
- Red or Black (There is a great range of Roulette games. Check out our Roulette Simulator to learn more about the mechanics of the game).
- Close to 21 (Blackjack)
- Games Shows & Cards
Final Thoughts
Lux Casino does a really good job of marrying indulgent casino luxury with the modern, mobile-first approach. This is a very exciting new and independent casino that a lot of our players will love. However, the one big downside is this issue of only being able to take one welcome bonus on the whole licence. So my main takeaway is simply, if you’ve even taken the bonus at a Happy Tiger site, don’t sign up to this one. You might as well just continue with the account you have. Otherwise, have at it!
